About the job
As a Sr/Global NPI Sourcing Manager, you will be a member of a highly engaged global procurement team. You will drive the sourcing strategy for new key technologies, working alongside senior stakeholders in research & development and business units.
What you will do
1. Market scan & benchmarking data on Front End Manufacturing BOM related technologies (Silicon Carbide, Gallium Nitride and other new product fields) and EPS based on key suppliers, market shares, technology capabilities and price trends.
2. Develop robust sourcing strategies (multiple supplier chain for risk and cost management, short and long term management) and manage stakeholders to align on and push forward these sourcing strategies. Influence BG R&D to enhance the DFM for the new products competitiveness/TCO .
3. Comply with policies and processes and contribute to develop material flows and Supply Chains to ensure a Continuous Improvement philosophy is adopted
4. Secure Long-Term agreements (LTAs) with Supplier partners, and nurture supplier relationships whilst making sure a fully aligned Supplier Development Plan is actively delivered
5. Scout and purchase materials and tools for R&D sample building up or technical studies
6. Established Global Procurement key strategies such as VMI with suppliers supporting the R&D NPI Project.
7. Set-up the right and applicable R&D contracts (Design Outsourcing Contracts, Joint Development Contracts with universities or other technical institutions, etc.) by collaborating with stakeholders to perform market analysis (engineering markets, cost levels for time- material based contracts, etc.)
8. Perform market analysis, ensure multiple supplier chain for risk and cost management, perform commercial comparison, communicate in a proactive, independent manner to effectively manage the best Total cost of Ownership (TCOO) to select right equipment and tools supplier/s.
9. Early Supplier Involvement ( ESI). Connect with suppliers for new project engagement at the onset of project creation to establish right vendor selections and business relationships.
10. Act as Project Manager, Sourcing Owner or Project Member. This also involves the opportunity to lead a team in the future
11. Work closely together with European R&D communities including Nijmegen and Dallas Design Centers technical sourcing demand on project development – BOM, EPS, NPR.
12. Assess and Evaluate Supplier Capability and Technology Roadmap to align with BG on market direction

What you will need
17. University degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering or similar
18. Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in a Global Procurement Environment
19. Experience in category management and developing a sourcing strategy from scratch
20. Procurement experience in a tech-based manufacturing environment (Automotive, Semiconductor, etc.)
21. Semiconductor experience and knowledge of Silicon Carbide (SiC) or Gallium Nitride (GaN) technologies is a plus
22. High independent work ethic and the desire to work on greenfield projects
23. Ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills and leading by example
24. Strong MS Excel, PowerPoint presentation and data analytics skills
25. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills on an international level
26. Strong ambition and skill to quickly adapt to a global and dynamic working environment
27. Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, Chinese language skills are beneficial
28. Willingness to travel
