Overview

The Custom Consulting Lead role is part of the Industry Solutions Delivery team at Microsoft. You will lead, orchestrate and drive customer value in a sales capacity, owning large strategic opportunities from inception to successful business outcomes, and presenting solutions that enhance cloud adoption and AI transformation for customers in the EMEA region. The role offers up to 50% remote work.


Responsibilities

* Partner with local leaders and sales teams to drive a consistent cross-CSA approach aligned to company strategy, applying a regional perspective to meet customer needs. Engage with SPT and Area MCAPSA sales teams.
* Bring impactful technology and industry insights to customer engagements, close deals, and coach others internally on how to do this. Leverage deep sales and delivery experience to drive a consultative sale and build trust with C-level executives.
* Influence Microsoft’s strategic direction across markets. Lead virtual cross-organizational teams on high-impact projects and deployments that enable digital transformation and deliver business value, using CSA assets and consulting IP.
* Participate in sales planning, orchestration and deal closure, leveraging Microsoft’s sales methodology. Shape and sell custom consulting solutions with technical acumen to maximize Microsoft investments.
* Provide deal coaching and promote cross-area learning to deliver value for customers and wider Microsoft teams. Collaborate with the wider account team to drive consumption and put AI at the forefront of activities.
* Continuously build sales expertise and Transformative solutions knowledge to support customers and the One Microsoft team, investing in personal development.


Qualifications

* Strong experience in solution-based selling across CSAs. Ability to position cross-CSA offerings and align customer needs with the portfolio.
* Experience selling into commercial or public sector accounts, with understanding of industry trends and challenges; ability to tailor solutions to industry-specific needs and contribute to account planning.
* Experience interacting with senior stakeholders and navigating C-level relationships; ability to drive executive meetings and articulate value propositions.
* Exposure to consulting or solution architecture practices; ability to collaborate with technical and consulting teams to develop customer solutions.
* Experience driving the sales cycle for digital transformation initiatives and positioning solutions aligned with transformation goals.


Additional Qualifications (PQs)

* Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT, or related field with proven industry sales experience in commercial or public sector (e.g., Finance, Local Government); or Master’s Degree with strong technology sales background.
* Significant experience in consulting solution sales and delivery is highly desirable.
