System engineer (m/w/d) (manching)

The Systems Engineer (d/f/m) drives the design, development, and delivery of instructor operator stations in context of Eurofighter training simulation. In addition to the overall simulation control & monitoring, these stations are also used for instructing and debriefing training sessions. This role combines systems engineering with product ownership and project management aspects, in order to ensure the solution is technically sound, user-focused, and delivered on-time.

• Capture and translate customer needs into clear system specification and acceptance criteria
• Shape technical roadmap together with a team of system- & software engineers, breaking down requirements into tasks and milestones
• Own and prioritize the product backlog, balancing new features, technical improvements, and customer feedback
• Drive the development of user-centric, high-performance UIs with Qt/QML, aligning design with usability and architectural integrity
• Perform risk management activities by proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact delivery
• Ensure high-quality product delivery on time within agreed budget and scope
• Manage collaboration with external suppliers and subcontractors, ensure seamless integration into the overall system
• Regularly monitor, evaluate and report progress, challenges and customer feedback.
• Keep stakeholders informed

Berufserfahrung:

• Engineering mind. über 5 Jahre
• Luft- und Raumfahrt mind. über 5 Jahre
• Professional experience across the entire system engineering lifecycle of simulation projects is a must have
• Understanding of military aircraft systems, operational procedures and mission workflows is considered as an advantage
• Experience in managing external suppliers and subcontractors is required
• Englisch mind. verhandlungssicher
• German is a plus
• IT Understanding of modern software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps pipelines, containerization) is needed Familiarity of software technologies (C++, Ot/QML) is required
