Overview:
**CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD**
SOSi is seeking a highly qualified Subject Matter Expert (SME) Cloud Engineer to support US Army requirements in the Europe & Africa Area of Responsibility (AOR).
Responsibilities:
* Engineer and implement cloud operating environments for program users.
* Research, design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software to meet program communications, business, scientific, and general computing applications to identify opportunities to leverage cloud operating platforms / capability.
* Set operational specifications and formulate and analyze software & applications for transition to the cloud.
* Apply principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
* Lead the planning, design, engineering, operation, maintenance, and defense of enterprise cloud-based products and services.
* Architect and oversee the administration and maintenance of cloud-based systems across complex, multi-enclave, and hybrid cloud environments.
* Strategize and facilitate the adoption of cloud computing to achieve significant enhancements in interoperability, decision-making, and operational efficiency.
* Define and champion cloud architecture standards and best practices.
* Provide expert consultation on complex cloud solutions and challenges.
* Direct the troubleshooting and resolution of critical cloud infrastructure issues.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years’ experience, or an Associate’s degree with a minimum of 14 years’ experience, or a high school diploma with a minimum of 16 years’ experience.
* An active Top Secret / SCI security clearance.
* DOD Cyber Work Role ID 628 Certs: Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals or CSSP or CompTIA Cloud+ or VCP6-CMA or equivalent.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint for document management and various administrative tasks.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders and organize materials for In-Progress Review (IPR) meetings.
* Experience producing metrics and reports using Microsoft Office tools.
* Proven administrative support experience, assisting contractor management with various tasks and projects.
* Demonstrated history of discretion, independent judgment, and self-direction.
Working Conditions:
* Normal office conditions with potential to perform duties in deployed locations.
* Core hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 0600 – 1700 .
