For our Multisensor Coordinate Measuring Machines (mCMM) business unit (BU), we are looking for a leader with expertise in firmware and algorithm development. Your role
* Leading an innovative team: You will lead a team of firmware and algorithm developers and shape the future of product development in a global company.
* Mentoring and development: Promote the professional development of your team members through targeted coaching, training, and regular, constructive feedback.
* Project management: Take responsibility for planning, executing, and monitoring firmware projects while staying on schedule and within budget.
* Interdisciplinary collaboration: Work closely with other departments and international teams (e.g., hardware development, quality assurance) to ensure integrated product development.
* Innovative firmware solutions: Develop and implement firmware solutions for real-time and embedded systems that take our products and systems to the next level.
* Quality assurance: Implement best practices in software development and firmware architecture and implement testing strategies to ensure quality and reliability.
* Regulatory compliance: Ensure compliance with legal and normative requirements as well as cyber security specifications in all development processes.
* Promotion of innovation: Identify new technologies and trends in the field of firmware/real-time system development and integrate them into existing processes.
Your profile
* Qualifications: Degree in computer science, technical computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
* Professional experience: Several years of experience in firmware development and experience in disciplinary/lateral team management.
* Technical expertise: In-depth knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and embedded systems.
* Development methods: Familiarity with modern development tools and methods (e.g., Git, Agile, Scrum).
* Regulatory knowledge: Ideally, you have knowledge of legal normative requirements and cyber security specifications in the embedded environment and product development.
* Leadership mentality: You empower your team to drive issues forward independently and ensure a trusting and appreciative feedback culture.
* Analytical thinking: Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
* Willingness to travel: Willingness to travel internationally for assignments and meetings.
* Interdisciplinary collaboration: Experience working with interdisciplinary teams and external partners at an international level.
