Provides secondary management and maintenance, including end-user support, of other network functions. Translate business needs into technical solutions. Ensure all site documents relating to the area of responsibility are updated and relevant. Participate in local projects as required. Responsibilities Performs pro-active tasks to ensure availability of the network infrastructure (WAN, LAN, VLAN, WLAN) and perform system design, management, maintenance, upgrades, and backup.. Implements IT projects using various technologies on a variety of network platforms. Performs secondary management and maintenance of other network functions Maintains documentation and Knowledge Base Management in related topics. Day-to-day decision authority to effectively manage network infrastructure (WAN, LAN, WLAN). Minimum Requirements: Minimum Requirements Minimum of 3 years of IT experience in Cisco, Checkpoint, VOIP, WAN, LAN Excellent German and good English Quality System Duties and Responsibilities Maintain the technical documentation up to date, as per the customer Quality Management System requirements. Knowledge/Skills/Experience: Advanced knowledge in HP Switches and Cisco Switches. Advanced knowledge and skills in IT and technology. Ability to conduct hands-on (utilising remote hands), troubleshooting of the LAN, WiFi and network. Ability to judge the necessity and logic of all proposed system changes within the area of their responsibility. Ability to lead projects. Must have or be prepared to obtain project management skills through training provided by external vendors. Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively work with all levels of management and personnel and with outside vendors Personal qualities Ability to quickly learn and apply new systems and technologies. Openness to receiving training on key areas of responsibility. Both industry and internal.
