Regional Utilities Reliability Engineer EMEA Location: Hamburg, Germany (preferred). Other locations within EMEA where ADM has major processing sites may be considered. Reports to: Utilities Reliability Lead – EMEA Travel Requirement: up to 20% (may vary depending on business needs) Job Summary The Regional Utilities Reliability Engineer is a subject matter expert responsible for supporting reliability and lifecycle management of critical utilities assets across a group of plants within EMEA. The role works closely with plant engineering and maintenance teams to deploy utilities reliability standards, strengthen maintenance strategies, and support troubleshooting of complex equipment. This position focuses on improving proactive maintenance and asset reliability for boilers, CHP/turbines, compressed air, cooling, water treatment, and utilities distribution systems, while supporting reliability assessments and standardization across sites. Key Responsibilities • Support implementation of reliability standards and maintenance strategies for utilities assets across assigned plants. • Assist sites in defining and improving PM, PdM, and CM programs for utilities equipment. • Provide SME support for troubleshooting complex failures and recurring utilities issues. • Participate in Root Cause Analysis for major utilities incidents. • Conduct reliability assessments and support gap closure with site teams. • Review inspection programs and support technical readiness for major shutdowns. • Contribute to lifecycle assessments and provide technical input for capital maintenance decisions. • Promote standardization and best practices across plants in the assigned sub-region. • Train and coach engineers and maintenance teams on utilities reliability methods. Scope of Assets • Boilers and steam generation systems • CHP units, turbines, generators, and control systems • Compressed air systems • Cooling systems • Water treatment systems • Utilities distribution networks (steam, air, cooling, water) Excludes : energy optimization, efficiency programs, energy contracts, and emissions strategy. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial or related Engineering. • 5 years of experience in utilities (mandatory), power generation, maintenance, or reliability engineering. • Practical experience with boilers, turbines/CHP, or other industrial utilities systems. • Solid understanding of maintenance strategies (PM, PdM, CM) and reliability tools such as RCA or FMEA. • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in industrial environments. • Ability to work cross-functionally with plant engineering and maintenance teams. • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence without formal authority. • Fluent English required; German is a strong plus. • Willingness to travel up to 20% About ADM At ADM, we unlock the power of nature to provide access to nutrition worldwide.
