Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as an EMIR Specialist. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in the supervision of regulatory obligations by non-financial counterparties in the context of EMIR and SFTR.
* The division is responsible for developing supervisory tools and interacting with supervised entities.
Responsibilities
* The successful candidate will supervise compliance by entities with EMIR and SFTR obligations.
* They will develop supervisory tools to ensure seamless interaction with supervised entities.
* Our ideal candidate will analyze large data sets containing information reported by entities in the context of EMIR and SFTR.
* They will review notifications related to exemptions foreseen in EMIR and support activities related to the analysis of CSDs' authorisation files.
* The chosen candidate will also support processing of internalised settlement reports and settlement fails reports in the context of settlement discipline.
* They will contribute to the execution of ESMA Coordination tasks and follow up on ongoing developments of legal and regulatory requirements at both national and international levels.
* The EMIR Specialist will interact and coordinate with other departments, national competent authorities, and European authorities.
* They will prepare and draft reports and analyses and provide expert advice on interpretation-related questions.
Requirements
* A Master's degree in economy or quantitative fields (BAC+4/+5) with in-depth knowledge in Finance or Law is required.
* Professional experience in the fields mentioned under 'Role & Responsibilities' would be considered as an important asset.
* The ideal candidate should have experience in managing big data and analysis/programming skills (e.g. M, DAX, Python, R).
* Proficiency in written and spoken French and English is mandatory; German and/or Luxemburgish would be considered as an advantage.
* Excellent analytical and writing skills are essential.
* Good relational and organizational skills are also necessary.
* Flexibility, dynamism, and proactivity are key qualities for this role.
* Ability to work both as part of a team and autonomously is required.
