Information about the position
Were looking for an Engineering Manager to join the Seller domain and support one of its value streams, focusing on helping accelerate the growth of the Vinted ecosystem by opening up the marketplace to sustainable businesses.
In this position, youll
Be accountable for:
1. Results of a team (delivery management and quality of engineering)
2. Processes and procedures in a team (working in the right ways on the right things)
3. People in the team (ensuring that we have great people working in true harmony)
In practice, it means:
4. Work in a cross-functional team (±7 engineers that you would be leading, Product Manager, Product Designer and Data Analyst)
5. Ensure the teams delivery according to the quarterly roadmap
6. Collaborate closely with other Engineering Managers, Agile Coach and Staff Engineer to bring continuous improvements to your team and our domain
7. Apply Agile and Lean principles in your work and ensure the team has a set of processes that enables them to be effective
8. Focus on the professional and personal growth of your team and yourself, including conducting performance and compensation reviews
9. Work on teams maturity: a group of people who trust each other, are not afraid of conflict, are committed and accountable, and care about results
About you
10. Proven experience leading a software engineering team and delivering results
11. Know how to make teams effective, manage scopes and deliverables
12. Have experience building a team & hiring new team members
13. You possess strong people management skills - have experience ensuring the development of team members
14. Solid proficiency in communicating with both technical and management levels
15. Embracing uncertainty is a phrase that does not scare you
16. Able to adapt to changing priorities and requirements
17. Excellent at communicating in spoken and written English
