* develop and establish an IT security strategy for the authority and schools,
* manage and develop the department and coordinate the tasks of the assigned officers,
* create and update IT security concepts in accordance with the framework guidelines of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg,
* monitor the implementation of IT security measures and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance,
* represent the official information security officer, including in inter-agency committees.
Your profile
Required
* University degree (master's or equivalent) in computer science, business informatics, IT security, or a comparable field of study, or
* Skills and experience equivalent to a university degree based on a completed degree (bachelor's or equivalent) in the above-mentioned fields of study and an additional four years of relevant professional experience in activities at master's level, or
As a civil servant:
* Qualification for career group 2, second entry-level position in the field of general services or
* You can also apply if you are qualified for career group 2, first entry-level position in the field of general services, and meet the additional requirements for promotion to a position in salary grade A14 or higher in accordance with § 6 (5) or (6) HmbLVO-AllgD.
Information for civil servants regarding promotion
Advantageous
* Extensive practical experience in IT security, network security, and data protection, ideally in the public sector or education. Certification in IT security further underscores your professional competence.
* Demonstrable ability to develop and implement IT security strategies and guidelines, and to prepare security reports.
* Sound experience in conducting risk analyses and security assessments, as well as in training and raising awareness among employees.
* Excellent analytical and conceptual skills, coupled with an independent and results-oriented approach to work.
* Team leadership experience, high level of interpersonal skills, strong communication and teamwork skills, confident manner, and very good verbal communication skills in German, especially when presenting complex IT issues at management level.
