Strategy is responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous refinement of a comprehensive and future-proof corporate strategy. This role involves close collaboration with top management, acting as the primary sparring partner for long-term decisions. It encompasses activities that shape the future of Webasto and support informed decision-making, turning those decisions into actions and results.
You can look forward to these exciting tasks:
* Overall responsibility for strategic key initiatives of the CEO:
Independent management of highly complex, company-wide relevant programs and initiatives with direct connection to the CEO; end-to-end responsibility for structuring, prioritizing, and controlling up to sustainable results assurance.
* Sparring partner and trusted advisor to the CEO and executive board:
Close substantive and operational support of the CEO in strategic, organizational, and governance-related issues; active participation in central decision-making and steering committees at the executive board level.
* Executive board and supervisory board work at director level:
Overall management of supervisory board processes, including strategic preparation and follow-up, decision-making logic, and action tracking; professional topic management for the executive board, including decision management and quality assurance of all documents.
* Strategic analysis, decision readiness, and C-level communication:
Development of well-founded strategic analyses, scenarios, and decision options for the CEO, executive board, and top management; clear, concise, and audience-appropriate preparation of complex content at the highest management level.
* Further development of governance, decision-making, and steering structures:
Design, optimization, and sustainable development of central business processes, steering models, and decision-making mechanisms in the global corporation; identification of structural levers, derivation of concrete measures, and implementation in close coordination with relevant stakeholders.
* Highest quality in strategic decision-making and communication formats:
Responsible creation and finalization of executive board templates, CEO presentations, and selected external communication content; ensuring clarity, consistency, coherence, and strategic alignment.
* Confident management of complex stakeholder and interest situations:
Coordination of stakeholders across departments, hierarchies, and countries at senior and executive board level; active management of goal conflicts, expectations, and escalations in the interest of the overall company.
* Further development of methods and work standards in the CEO Office:
Establishment and continuous development of methodological standards, working methods, and best practices for strategy work, program management, and executive board communication in the CEO Office.
This is what you bring to us:
* Excellent academic education:
Successfully completed university studies in economics, engineering, or social sciences; a master's degree or comparable qualification is mandatory.
* Extensive experience in top management and strategic contexts:
At least 7–10 years of relevant experience in strategy, transformation, or CEO-related environments, ideally gained at a leading international top management consultancy and through working with C-level decision-makers.
* Outstanding strategic and analytical excellence:
Exceptional skills in structuring complex issues, strategic thinking, and analytical precision; ability to derive clear decision-making foundations from complexity.
* Seniority and leadership without formal managerial responsibility:
High personal authority, assertiveness, and implementation orientation; ability to effectively steer, influence, and achieve results even without disciplinary leadership.
* Confident executive communication and highest integrity:
Highly developed communication and presentation skills at board level; absolute trustworthiness, discretion, and integrity in handling sensitive content.
* Excellent tool and methodological expertise:
Very good knowledge of MS PowerPoint and Excel; strong affinity for modern analysis, collaboration, and management tools in strategic environments.
* International experience and language skills:
Negotiation-level English and fluent Chinese language skills, both written and spoken; solid experience in international, matrix-organized corporate structures is desirable.
