We are looking for an accomplished and strategic Country Manager – Germany to lead our Generic Formulations business, with a strong focus on l tender business and AOK tenders .
This role will be responsible for driving revenue growth from the current €35 million to €50 million in the next fiscal year, through effective tender management, strategic partnerships, and operational leadership .
The ideal candidate will have 10–15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a minimum of 5 years in a Country Head or equivalent leadership role for generic formulations in Germany .
Prior experience and deep understanding of AOK tender processes and hospital procurement systems will be a strong asset.
Key Responsibilities: Business Leadership · Lead the P&L responsibility for the German generics business, setting and achieving revenue and margin targets.
1. · Develop and implement country-specific commercial strategies aligned with global goals.
2. · Oversee execution of sales, marketing, market access, regulatory, and distribution plans.
Tender Management · Drive the hospital business through strategic participation in AOK and hospital tenders .
3. · Develop competitive pricing strategies for tenders while ensuring margin protection.
4. · Build internal capabilities for proactive tender monitoring, documentation, and bidding processes.
Client and Stakeholder Engagement · Build strong relationships with hospital groups, procurement bodies, wholesalers, health authorities, and local stakeholders.
5. · Act as the key point of contact for all government and institutional contracts.
Cross-functional Coordination · Collaborate with supply chain, regulatory affairs, QA/QC, marketing, and legal teams to ensure smooth market operations.
6. · Work closely with global and regional teams to align local execution with company-wide strategic objectives.
Team Leadership & Governance · Lead and mentor the local team to deliver high performance, operational efficiency, and compliance.
7. · Ensure all business practices comply with local regulations and company policies .
Required Qualifications: · Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business, or related field.
MBA preferred.
8. · Experience: 10–15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a proven track record in generic formulations .
Minimum 5 years of experience as Country Head / Country Manager in Germany.
Demonstrated success in handling tender business, especially AOK tenders and hospital channel in Germany.
