Software Architect for Weapons Simulation (d/f/m)
In order to provide high-fidelity training simulation, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a self‑motivated engineer to join a team of experienced experts to jointly define, implement, and integrate complex simulation subsystems in the domain of sensors and weapons. Our engineers closely collaborate with other departments and external suppliers to deliver solutions for high‑fidelity training systems, with current focus on the Eurofighter pilot training simulation system PSTS.

Your tasks and responsibilities
* Design and assessment of solutions for the simulation of weapons
* Definition and alignment of interfaces with other teams and external suppliers
* Execution and coordination of phases in the development process of modules and sub‑systems
* Execution and coordination of system engineering, development and integration activities
* Ensuring the development goals and system functionality, initiating corrective measures if needed
* Ensuring project documentation
* Assessment and detailing of schedules and cost plans, including coordination of priorities
* Technical support in the assessment and selection of suppliers
Desired Skills And Qualifications
* Educated to degree level in computer science or engineering
* Sound knowledge of
o SW design and SW Architecture
o SW development and interface definitions (C, C++, ADA 95, Python, Perl)
o V‑model based SW development process
o Systems engineering (incl. tools such as DOORS)
o System integration processes
* IT literate (MS Office applications)
* Good language skills in English, both written and spoken
* Competence to work both independently and collaboratively in a team
* Ability to respond to changes in activities and priorities
* Good communication skills with an ability to operate in a multi‑cultural environment
* Experience in the alignment with and coordination of partners and suppliers
