Conduct risk engineering surveys for the power sector (erection, commissioning and operation) Implementation of efficient loss prevention measures with the development of effective risk management procedures at client level Develop and implement HRC standards, guidelines, and risk engineering tools Evaluate loss potential in accordance with HRC guidelines Desktop reviews of external risk reports as requested by underwriters Provide reports in a timely manner in agreement with underwriters and in accordance with HRC risk engineering guidelines Develop and provide training sessions for clients, underwriters and claims Attend client presentations Minimum of 7 years of experience working within the power industry or experience as a power risk engineer in the insurance industry Appropriate formal engineering qualifications (MSc or PhD), preferably mechanical or electrical engineering Professional membership of engineering associations would be advantageous Good knowledge of power plant operations and maintenance of turbines as well as good understanding of international engineering standards Good knowledge of or experience in renewable energy would be an additional advantage International experience or working with different cultures is preferred Highly motivated personality with excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision English (min.
