ODM Partners has been exclusively mandated to appoint a Head of Financing for a leading pan-European infrastructure platform. This is a compelling opportunity for an experienced financing professional to join a collaborative, international organisation and play a central role in its continued growth. The position sits within the firm’s central financing function, supporting all funding activity across the platform, including acquisitions, refinancings and broader capital-structure initiatives. Working closely with senior leadership and commercial teams across Europe, the role will focus on designing efficient financing solutions, managing lender and advisor engagement and driving consistency and discipline across all financing workstreams. It offers high visibility, exposure to multiple geographies and the opportunity to influence the Group’s long‑term capital strategy.
Candidate Profile
* Preference for candidates based in the West of Germany. German language capability required.
* 10–15 years’ experience with a demonstrable track record in infrastructure financing across sectors such as transport, social infrastructure and renewables.
* Background preference for banking‑led roles, particularly in project or structured finance, infrastructure or asset finance, or infrastructure‑focused debt advisory. Candidates from corporates in comparable financing or capital structuring roles, and from infrastructure debt funds, will also be considered.
* Strong network across European infrastructure lenders.
* Hands‑on experience executing acquisition financings and refinancings across corporate, asset‑backed and sponsor‑led transactions, with deep exposure to lender engagement, credit documentation, covenant structuring and full documentation processes.
* Familiarity with ratings agency interaction, treasury, liquidity planning and hedging viewed positively.
* Commercial, relationship‑driven and judgement‑led, with the ability to operate autonomously in lean, collaborative environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the structuring and execution of financing and refinancing solutions for new investments and portfolio assets.
* Advise internal teams on financing considerations throughout the deal lifecycle, including bid structuring and capital planning.
* Manage relationships with banks, institutional lenders, advisors and ratings agencies to secure competitive terms and maintain strong market access.
* Coordinate lender and advisor processes, ensuring efficient execution and alignment with strategic objectives.
* Oversee treasury‑related matters including liquidity planning, cash management and risk mitigation, supported by a small, experienced team.
* Monitor covenant compliance, manage ongoing reporting requirements and support ratings processes.
* Contribute to firm‑wide standards on financing, capital structure and best practice across geographies.
* Support long‑term optimisation of the platform’s capital structure and financing strategy.
