Commercial Strategist
We are currently seeking a seasoned commercial strategist to accelerate our mass retail channel strategy within Germany. With a focus on grocery and discount channels for growth, this role will deliver the successful execution of our go-to-market strategy, meet, and exceed our key performance indicators (KPIs) and shape our medium- to long-term future plans with customers.
As a commercial director, you will have full commercial ownership of the grocery and discount channels in Germany. You will develop and execute differentiated strategies for each retailer, aligned with broader commercial goals. You will lead, coach, and develop a team of national account managers and key account executives. You will own sales forecasts, gross margins, trade spends, promotional budgets, and revenue targets per customer. You will lead annual negotiations with local and regional customers, including buying groups. You will build strong, trust-based partnerships with top retailer partners.
The ideal candidate will embody our company values, including putting people first, caring fiercely, earning trust, and demonstrating courage. They will have an outstanding track record of success in sales, with a minimum of 8 to 10 years' experience at senior leadership level. They will have a strong track record in negotiations, listing wins, trade spend management, and market share growth. They will demonstrate success in both strategic planning and perfect execution. They will have proven experiences with people development. International experiences will be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
