(Bio-)Statistician / Epidemiologist / Mathematician (gn*) Multi-Omics-Based Survival Analyses

PROJECT:
The multinational, large-scale omics projects focus on identifying molecular biomarkers that predict the risk of brain diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Analyze large-scale genome (GSA array), genome-wide methylome (EPIC array) and proteome (SomaScan, Olink) datasets from ~6,000 study participants
Apply advanced analytical methods for integrative multi-omics analyses
Implement state-of-the-art statistical and computational techniques for disease prediction
Leverage extensive, high-quality multi-omics data resources to drive innovative research


REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s degree (or higher) in (bio-)statistics, epidemiology, mathematics, or a related discipline
Proven proficiency in R
Solid background in (bio-)statistical methods and analyses, including experience with Cox regression analyses
A high level of motivation and a drive for excellence
Strong analytical thinking, scientific writing, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication as well as fluency in English (spoken and written)
