The Chair of Material Handling and Warehousing (FLW) of TU Dortmund University is hiring student
assistants (SHK/WHK; max. 10h/week) to work on our current research projects. Our research group
has a diverse range of topics to offer, notably in the field of computer vision, machine learning, and
robotics in the context of logistics. These interdisciplinary projects are often carried out in tight-
knit collaboration with Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics IML.
Research Assistant Position at FLW, TU Dortmund University (m/w/d)
Your tasks:
• Technical and conceptual support in current research projects
* Implementation and evaluation of algorithms and experiments
* Contributing to publications in journals and conferences
* Support in teaching and miscellaneous tasks
Your profile:
• You are currently enrolled in logistics, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering,
computer science, data science, statistics or similar degrees
* You are interested in, e.g., mobile robots, computer vision, machine learning, dataset creation,
scientific writing, logistics, industrial engineering and related topics
* You are able to work independently
* You are a good communicator and speak German and/or English at a C1 level or higher
