subrosa has been exclusively retained to lead the search for the Country Head Germany / Austria.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Business Planning

* Develop and execute a forward-looking strategy and annual budget aligned with global objectives.
* Drive performance across key metrics including portfolio expansion, talent development, supply continuity, product launches, EBITDA, and compliance.
* Lead the German business directly while providing strategic oversight of Austria through the Country Director.

Commercial & Operational Excellence

* Own the full P&L for Germany, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth through effective resource allocation.
* Design and implement an agile commercial structure, including field force development and CRM-driven sales excellence.
* Oversee demand planning, forecasting, and supply chain operations to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.
* Ensure compliant and effective execution of sales and marketing strategies, with continuous performance monitoring.

Market Development & Growth Initiatives

* Analyze market trends, regulatory developments, and IP landscapes to identify and pursue growth opportunities.
* Lead new product launches and business development initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Stakeholder Engagement & Representation

* Serve as the primary representative of the cluster in Germany, building strong relationships with customers, government bodies, and community stakeholders.
* Represent the cluster within the EMENA leadership team, contributing to regional alignment and operational synergies.
* Operate effectively within a complex, cross-cultural, and matrixed organization.

Austria Oversight

* Support and empower the Country Director Austria to achieve strategic and operational goals in alignment with cluster priorities.

People Leadership

* Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing, cross-functional team.
* Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with all legal and industry standards.

Professional & Educational Background

* University degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly desirable.
* Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally in both commercial and operational leadership roles.
* In-depth knowledge of the German healthcare system; familiarity with the Austrian market is a strong advantage.
* Fluency in both German and English is essential for effective cross-functional and cross-border collaboration.
