Your role as Area Sales Manager - Orthopaedics
In this commercially focused role, you'll be responsible for expanding market share, strengthening client relationships, and supporting customers across your assigned territory.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading sales and business development efforts for the joint replacement product range
* Developing and executing territory-specific sales strategies based on customer insights and market data
* Building strong relationships with surgeons, hospital stakeholders, and key opinion leaders (KOLs)
* Delivering hands-on technical support, education, and training to ensure optimal use of products in clinical settings
* Identifying, managing, and growing distributor and agent networks to achieve sales targets
* Monitoring competitor activity and emerging trends to inform commercial decisions
* Supporting scientific engagement initiatives in partnership with KOLs
* Ensuring all activities align with internal compliance policies and relevant healthcare regulations
* Collaborating with internal teams to resolve customer challenges and deliver best-in-class service
* Willingness to travel extensively across the territory, and occasionally further afield when required
Experience and qualifications for the Area Sales Manager - Orthopaedics role
This opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong commercial mindset and proven expertise in orthopaedics or joint replacement.
The ideal candidate will bring:
* 3-8 years' experience in orthopaedic sales or related medical device sectors
* Background in business, nursing, life sciences, or a related field (MBA is a plus)
* Solid track record in sales, territory management, and relationship-building
* Strong analytical and financial acumen to drive strategic decisions
* Confident communicator, fluent in the local language, with good English skills
* Experience supporting clinical teams with product training and demonstrations
* Ability to build trust with surgeons, healthcare providers, and distributors
