Project Engineer
We are partnering with a global leader in Air Quality and Fluid Handling Solutions within the Environmental space. Your work will directly support clients in reducing emissions, meeting regulatory compliance, and improving overall air quality, helping build a cleaner, healthier future.
The Role
Working between your home address and their European HQ in Wetzlar, Hesse, you will be responsible for delivering technical engineering support as part of a wider team, with key responsibilities to include:
* Leading the system integration of air pollution control package systems.
* Coordinating an international 3D drafting team, ensuring quality and compliance of technical drawings and specifications.
* Collaborating across departments to ensure alignment between engineering, production, and project management functions.
* Supporting the development of compliant, efficient system designs tailored to client requirements and environmental regulations.
* Evaluate & approve structural designs as necessary
* Travel to customer sites as necessary to participate in meetings or inspections
* Maintain Current Knowledge of new trends in products/processes
What we are looking for:
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
* Minimum 6 years of engineering experience in a technical environment
* Experience interfacing with marketing, sales, manufacturing, and suppliers to resolve product issues and translate customer needs into technical specifications
* Demonstrated creativity and analytical engineering skills, especially in applying technology to new or custom projects
* Comfortable working with multidisciplinary, intercultural teams
* Proven experience with European package supplies and relevant standards (e.g., PED, Machinery Directive, CE Marking)
* Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to overcome obstacles and adapt to change
* Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and other standard business tools
* Skilled in AutoCAD 3D, Solid Edge, or HiCAD

* €70,000 – €85,000 DOE, with flexibility for the ideal candidate.
