Senior Test Engineer (all genders)
As Senior Test Engineer you will take a leading role in ensuring the functionality and quality of our products and contribute to the satisfaction of over two million Toniebox users worldwide.
Responsibilities
* Lead complex, cross‑domain system tests across hardware, firmware, and software.
* Define and standardise test methods to ensure complete coverage and consistency.
* Responsible for the automation strategy: From designing scalable test automation frameworks to integrating them into CI/CD environments.
* Lead system‑level validation measures and synthesize data into insights for measurable improvements (product and processes).
* Lead structured problem‑solving processes across Engineering and Operations teams.
* Ensure that cross‑team feedback loops consistently lead to continuous improvement.
Qualifications
* Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
* 8+ years of professional experience in electronics and software testing.
* Ability to solve complex, ambiguous, and cross‑functional challenges, develop frameworks and anticipate future problems.
* Leadership and collaboration skills, ensuring alignment across functions and acting as a mentor.
* Influence direction and results across teams/functions and lead scalable initiatives.
* Excellent knowledge of modern test automation (e.g., Python) and the relevant tools (Jira, Git, Testmo).
* Fluent in English and proficient in German (B2).
* Willingness to support your team on‑site in Düsseldorf 1–2 times per week.
