The Finance Manager for Evac Germany GmbH will play a critical role in ensuring financial integrity, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving operational efficiency. This role is pivotal in aligning financial practices with the company’s global standards and contributing to its sustainable growth. While highly influential, the position has no direct reports and requires a hands-on, independent approach.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and year-end closing.
* Ensure compliance with German GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory requirements.
* Partner with the Managing Director to provide strategic financial insights.
* Monitor revenue, costs, cash flow, and tax compliance.
* Coordinate annual audits and ensure robust internal controls.
* Collaborate with Group Finance and contribute to international initiatives.
* Ensure adherence to accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and consistent financial controls and policies for the legal entity in Germany.
* Take care of tax filings and reporting, as well as provide guidance to other business functions in Germany.

Who We’re Looking For
* 5–7 years of financial management experience in an international industrial company.
* Strong expertise in German GAAP and IFRS.
* Experience working in a matrix organization with remote teams.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
* Fluent in German and English.
* (Bonus) Experience in the marine industry.
Qualifications
* Degree in Finance or Accounting.
* Recognized accounting qualification in Germany.
