JOB TITLE: Data Center / Desktop Support Engineer Location- Frankfurt and Berlin. Job Type: contract- 3 roles Job Description We are looking for a hands-on Data Center / Desktop Support Engineer with strong “hands and feet” support experience to provide onsite technical assistance for IT infrastructure, hardware, and end-user systems. Key Responsibilities Provide onsite “hands and feet” support for Data Center operations and Desktop Support activities. Install, troubleshoot, and replace hardware components including servers, desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, and network devices. Perform rack and stack activities, cable management, patching, labeling, and basic connectivity checks. Support server reboot, hardware diagnostics, and physical equipment inspection in the Data Center. Coordinate with remote technical teams for incident resolution and infrastructure maintenance. Handle OS installation, software configuration, user account support, and peripheral setup. Monitor tickets and ensure timely resolution as per SLA requirements. Maintain asset inventory and update documentation for hardware movements and changes. Provide support for Microsoft Windows environment, Office 365, VPN, and basic networking issues. Assist in IMAC activities (Install, Move, Add, Change) for IT equipment. Required Skills Experience in Data Center support or Desktop Support role. Good knowledge of Windows OS, hardware troubleshooting, and basic networking concepts. Hands-on experience with rack & stack, cabling, and remote hands support. Familiarity with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Remedy. Understanding of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, printers, and end-user device support. Ability to work in shifts and provide onsite support when required. Strong communication and coordination skills. Preferred Qualifications Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. Certifications such as CompTIA A, Network, Microsoft, or Cisco are an advantage. Experience supporting enterprise Data Center environments is preferred.
