Co-Founder & CTO (Founding Partner) — Build the AI-First Category Leader in Automotive

CARA is a founder-led, AI-First agent company reinventing how dealerships communicate with customers across the entire journey: answer every call, book faster appointments, resolve more requests on first contact, and deliver a brand-true experience 24/7 via voice, chat, and messaging.

We’re not inventing LLMs—we master their application to ship autonomous, enterprise-grade agents that plug into real dealership systems and move core KPIs: answer rate, speed-to-lead, FCR, NPS, service revenue.

The Role — A Founding Partner, Not an Employee

You’ll co-create company, culture, and platform from scratch. Your north star: turn CARA’s vision into a rock-solid, multi-tenant AI-SaaS that wins enterprise accounts fast and puts us on a clear path to #1 in dealer–customer communications.

AI-First, Always — How We Operate

* AI by default. Agents, automation, tool-use first; conventional software where it adds leverage.
* Production > prototypes. Reliability, security, measurable business impact. No demo theater.
* Data flywheel from day one. Instrumentation, feedback loops, continuous learning.
* Quality at scale. Offline/online evals, guardrails, prompt/version control, red-teaming.
* Responsible by design. GDPR-first, least-privilege, human-in-the-loop where it matters.
* Dogfood. We use CARA to run CARA.

Your 90-Day Outcomes (what “good” looks like)

* MVP live with first dealership: voice agent that answers inbound calls, classifies intent, books service/test drives, and hands off gracefully.
* Integration skeleton into a leading DMS/CRM + telephony (SIP/Twilio) with strict data isolation.
* Eval harness & dashboards for latency/cost/quality SLAs; red-teaming loop in place.
* Foundational platform: multi-tenant auth, audit logging, observability, CI/CD.
* Security baseline: GDPR controls, DPA draft, data residency, retention policies.

What You’ll Do

* Own the foundation. Choose the stack, design the architecture, write the first lines of code. Make the hard calls.
* Tame integrations. Turn CRMs/DMSs, scheduling and legacy APIs into our unfair advantage—and ship the first connectors yourself.
* Orchestrate agents (not models). Prompt/program tool-use, retrieval, workflows (LangChain/CrewAI/AutoGen or custom), with strong guardrails & evals.
* Engineer for scale & trust. Secure, observable systems; multi-tenant isolation; CI/CD; monitoring; incident playbooks.
* Establish AI-First practices. Prompt/data/version mgmt, synthetic data, continuous red-teaming, SLA-driven optimization (latency/cost/quality).
* Build an A-team. Recruit, mentor, and set a culture of speed, excellence, and true ownership.

What You Bring

* Founder DNA. Ambiguity-proof, ruthless prioritization, bias to action.
* Hands-on shipping record. You’ve built and launched complex, integration-heavy products in enterprise environments.
* SaaS architecture mastery. Multi-tenant, secure, performant systems that scale.
* Applied AI fluency. You wield OpenAI/Claude et al. via APIs to deliver business value, with strong MLOps/AgentOps hygiene.
* Full-stack pragmatism. From board-level strategy to 2am production debugging when it matters.

Nice-to-Have (makes you dangerous on day 1)

* Telephony/voice (SIP/Twilio; Elevenlabs), streaming ASR/TTS, call routing/QA.
* Security/compliance in the EU context (GDPR, data residency, ISO paths).
