The Fraunhofer Research and Development Centre for Electromobility in Bavaria (FZEB) at the Fraunhofer Institute for Silicate Research ISC is one of the leading national institutions in the field of electrochemistry. Electrochromic elements function in much the same way as lithium-ion batteries and are primarily being developed for shading buildings and vehicles.
To expand our team, we are looking for support for the ELEKTRA project. In this SME-Innovative project, electrochromic films are being developed as a smart and energy-efficient retrofit solution for existing buildings.

* Electrochemical deposition of electrochromic materials on transparent conductive films
* Investigation and optimisation of the optical and (spectro-)electrochemical properties of thin-film electrodes
* Fabrication of electrochromic cells
What you contribute
* A current Master’s degree programme in the natural sciences (preferably chemistry, materials science, physics or nanostructure engineering)
* A compulsory internship to be completed with us prior to starting the Master’s thesis (optional but recommended), lasting 6–8 weeks
* Solid knowledge of electrochemistry
* Programming experience would be an advantage
* A motivated and independent approach to work

This position is internded for the completion of a Master`s thesis and is limited to six months.
