Responsibilities
* Operational and strategic procurement of technical components and assemblies for the EAF project
* Selection, evaluation, and contracting of suppliers as well as conducting price and contract negotiations
* Monitoring and assessing deviations or changes from the contractually agreed delivery and service scope and evaluating their financial impact on the organisation
* Ensuring the preparation of a detailed description of the delivery and service scope in close coordination with technical contacts in the plants
* Analysis and consolidation of requirements within the framework of work contracts
* Contributing to global sourcing strategies
* Claim management: evaluation of deviations and enforcement of claims
* Market and supplier analysis, global tenders, and supplier audits
* Analysis of offers and price structures, preparation of price comparison analyses (TCO)
* Conducting award negotiations and drafting complex contracts under German civil law (BGB) for work and work-delivery contracts
* Ensuring proper contracting and documentation
* Process optimization and use of controlling instruments
* Project work and interface management (compliance, environmental protection, occupational health and safety)
* Knowledge of procurement procedures under public procurement law
Profile
* Completed university degree or solid professional training as a buyer, engineer, commercial professional, industrial engineer, or comparable qualification
* Several years of experience in strategic or operational procurement in plant engineering
* Confident use of ERP systems and tendering software, particularly MS Office and ideally SAP MM
* Strong negotiation skills, cost awareness, and analytical thinking
* Structured, resilient, independent, and assertive working style combined with strong teamwork skills
