Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Lead the development of category practices on a global basis, including:
* Define and deploy sourcing strategies for Professional Services inclusive of Consultancy
* services, Legal services & Payment Services
* Execute stakeholder management to maximize total cost of ownership savings and Procurement’s value contribution
* Assure achieving compliance targets with policies, strategies and processes
* Meet Procurement annually agreed savings targets
Key Responsibilities:
Co-lead with all category managers the definition of the category strategy for Professional services, inclusive of consultancy services, legal services and payment services:
* Analyze category and define category profile, incl. risk assessment, supplier base assessment and SRM strategy
* Benchmark category practices to identify initiatives for improvement
* Build category strategic plan in alignment with business teams
* Align strategic plan to financial budget and global business strategies
* Define P2P and buying channel strategies, identify and consider automation potential and P2P / channel effectiveness
Co-lead with all category managers market strategy implementation and savings realization:
* Initiate internal and external analysis (industry and supplier)
* Consolidate requirements and act as business partner for business / other functions, supporting the alignment and optimization of specification with the business / other functions
* Lead contract implementation and drive contract compliance
* Be accountable for savings delivery according to the mutually defined targets
Co-support with all category managers the work and efforts of a cross-functional sourcing team in all stages of a strategic sourcing project
* Collaborate and align with global/market/country procurement teams as applicable
* Drive supplier selection and fact-based negotiations
* Lead RfX execution: Select supplier and drive fact-based negotiation
* Collaborate with legal to finalize contractual agreement and its administration
* Work with Procurement Leads to implement and activate contracts globally
Co-manage commercial supplier relationship management with key supplier within the defined category scope
* Maintain and manage relationship with suppliers identified as key suppliers in the respective category, monitors performance of key strategic suppliers according to the guidelines
* Leads supplier development activities, set up cross-functional review meetings with key strategic suppliers in order to improve performance and further cost/demand reductions
* Support the identification of potential contract improvement opportunities and re-negotiations
Co-manage relationship with key stakeholders and business representatives
* Provide input on volume / specification / price to build smart consumption policies
* Act as an escalation point for category related issues and drive resolution in line with global Procurement policies
* Achieve “buy-in” from key stakeholders in the market for major procurement initiatives
* Create and outline contribution for budget improvements
* Foster that business needs are being identified, represented and incorporated into category strategies
* Act as Point of Contact for the business to assure business requirements are met
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Highly experienced in sourcing and procurement methodologies in Consulting Services
* Expert in Consulting category management and sourcing execution on a global basis.
* Extremely good knowledge of procurement strategy development and conveyance
* Strong knowledge of procurement tools and data, content and automation
* Strong ability to analyze specifications and influence demand
* Excellent presentation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
* Extensive capability to independently interact throughout adidas
* Action oriented and solution minded team player
* Proficiency in MS Office
* Fluent in English, spoken and written
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
* A master’s degree with emphasis on the areas of business, economics, finance, procurement, or comparable professional education
* At least 5+ years’ working experience Procurement role in Professional Services
