Purpose
Support the Global Market Sales organizations in achieving profitable market share growth jointly with Sales Development satellite teams by building up and maintaining sustainable long-term growth strategies of both brands (adidas and Reebok). Develop effective collaboration models and strategies with special focus on Trade Investment and Mark-up optimization and ensure implementation across all Global Markets
Key Accountabilities
* Track, analyze and report on the Trade Investment development globally and provide special focus on Key Accounts and Specialists
* Develop and drive the implementation of the Trade Investment Policy
* Lead the development and implementation of supporting tools, e.g.: On-line Approval tool, Trade Investment reference manual
* Ensure Trade Investment Policy and Booking guidelines are yearly updated and published on the Global Sales Policy intranet site
* Lead trainings related to the area of expertise; keep on-line training module up to date
* Fine-tune, update and regularly review the Excellence initiative and roll-out with Global Wholesales Sales Development satellites
* Collaborate with Global Franchise Sales and integrate the Franchise approach into the Global Trade Investment Policy
* Work across the organization to unify supporting functions behind the Trade Investment Strategy (e.g. O2C, Commercial Finance, IT etc.)
* Demonstrate holistic business understanding beyond Trade Investment keep Mark-up, Returns and Cancellations also on the radar
* Gather and share best practices across the markets and turn it into industry-leading sales approaches. Make the Best-in-Class (BIC) tools always available for the markets
* Ensure a constant communication flow with Sales Development
* Provide and demonstrate expertise on key forums (e.g. SD meetings, GBC, Global Sales meetings)
* Support implementation of Regional Trade Investment Policies (e.g. US adidas, US Reebok, WE)
* Mentor interns, apprenticeship in the Global Sales, Sales Development teams
Knowledge, Capabilities and Experience
* Sales Manager with proven track record of success
* Has strong leadership skills
* Strong interpersonal skills (e.g. communication, collaboration)
* Proven methodological skills (e.g. business planning, strategic development)
* Broad and deep functional skills (e.g. Sales, Customer Service, Finance, IT)
* High degree of commercial and business acumen knowledge
* Extensive knowledge of the adidas Group business along with significant industry experience
* Mental flexibility, initiative and determination
* Fluent in written and spoken English is a must. Skills and abilities in another language are a benefit
Qualifications
1. Degree in business administration with focus on Sales/Marketing
2. Business: minimum 8-10 years
3. Functional: minimum 3-5 years’ experience in sales, ideally in the sporting goods industry
4. Leadership: minimum 3 years in management
5. Cross-functional experience ideally with marketing / sales / finance
6. Industry: sporting goods / retail / consumer goods
