In our team you will provide cybersecurity support to help secure operations of the Galileo satellite constellation. This is a unique opportunity to work in a high-security space environment, applying cybersecurity skills to real operational systems used in one of Europe’s most important satellite programmes.
Your main responsabilites will be:
1. Establish a baseline for the usage of different network protocols by analyzing system log extractions.
2. Develop and document procedures for log extraction and analysis.
3. Provide cybersecurity expertise from an operations perspective to support modifications to existing ground segment elements.
4. Conduct routine checks on network security status and configuration based on ISO 27001 standards.
5. Establish and maintain a configuration baseline for the system. Perform offline trend analysis with Splunk on extracted logs.
6. Assess and analyze the system hardening status.
7. Support the integration, testing, and handover process from equipment developers to operations, validating the closure of identified vulnerabilities.
8. Evaluate the impact of new configurations on operational products and processes.
WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?
We are looking for cybersecurity engineers with experience on Windows and Linux hardening. Main requirements are:
9. Eligible for Security Clearance up to Secret level. EU Citizenship is essential.
10. English language skills at C1 level, with the ability to understand and produce technical documents and presentations.
11. Knowledge in Windows and Linux OS hardening.
12. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
13. Practical experience in cybersecurity, internships or student projects
Also it would be great if you had experience on:
14. Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash or PowerShell
15. Splunk or similar log analysis tools
16. ISO 27001 or security compliance frameworks
17. Secure software development or Agile environments
18. Django or similar frameworks
19. Space systems, satellite operations or critical infrastructure
