Our company complies with applicable regulatory requirements and continues to ensure the effectiveness of the quality management system.This position is part of the Cepheid’s Infectious Disease Medical and Scientific Affairs group and will be located *remotely in Germany*.Whilst joining us in this role, as *Director Medical Affairs* (Germany), you will be responsible for the following activities in the DACH – Germany (D), Austria (A), and Switzerland (CH) – region.*Serve as a resource to the medical/scientific community including emergency and infectious disease clinicians, OB/GYNs, laboratory personnel, infection control, pharmacists and researchers.* Develop and maintain a working understanding of the Global Health environment relevant to diagnostic needs.* Identify research gaps, support sponsored clinical trials, investigator-initiated research, Advisory Boards and Focus Groups to assist Marketing in requirements for the product pipeline.* Communicate insights from the medical/scientific community about unmet clinical or diagnostic needs and provide scientific expertise on product design, development and implementation.*Medical Degree (MD) with specialization in infectious diseases, microbiology or infection prevention and control with 8+ years of related work experience. Strong scientific writing with successful publication record and excellent communication skills with national/international speaking experience.* Demonstrated success presenting medical/technical information in a concise manner to diverse scientific and clinical audiences, backed up with strong organizational and problem-solving skills as well as proven working expertise in a multicultural environment and matrix structure.* Fluency in German, excellent English communication and presentation skills.* Ability to travel (60% regional and some international travel is required).*It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:** 3+ years Medical and Scientific Affairs experience.* Clinical trials management to achieve timely completion of project deliverables.*
