Your responsibilities and tasks:
The Manager Global Trade Services and Analytics will play a pivotal role in our biggest transformation project ever named Transform360. Transform360 involves group-wide standardisation of end-to-end processes across five divisions and several roll-outs of SAP GTS together with SAP S/4HANA implementation. Until at least 2030 you will work on the interface between customs and foreign trade requirements and deliver proper solutions in SAP GTS, while also serving as a translator between the Managers of customs and foreign trade operations and the IT department for SAP GTS developments to improve GEA’s business efficiency.
The Manager Global Trade Services and Analytics contributes to achieving the predefined Transform360 rollout strategy by implementing SAP Global Trade Services within the GEA Group.
The role reports directly to the Vice President Customs and Foreign Trade (headquarters) and is based in Düsseldorf, Germany, or at any other GEA location worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
* SAP GTS Management: You have the skills to configure, deploy and maintain SAP GTS modules (Compliance Management, Customs Management, Risk Management, etc.).
* Trade Compliance: You ensure adherence to global trade regulations (import/export laws, sanctions, embargoes, etc.) and keep up-to-date with regulatory changes.
* Process Optimization: You identify and implement process improvements in customs, trade, and logistics operations using SAP GTS and analytics tools.
* Analytics & Reporting: You create dashboards and reports to analyze trade flows, compliance status, and operational KPIs.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: You collaborate with other departments and workstreams (I2O, S2P, CTO, MDG, etc.) to align system enhancements and business continuity.
* Project Management: You manage cross-functional teams on a global scale and communicate effectively in an agile environment to achieve goals.
* Training & Support: You present and share knowledge, provide training and support to end-users, and ensure effective change management for new processes and systems.
Your profile and qualifications:
Education:
* Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Logistic Management, International Business or Business Administration, Information Systems or Technology, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
* A few years of experience in global trade compliance, customs operations, or international logistics.
* Professional experience with SAP GTS (configuration, implementation, rollout, or support) and/or with SAP S/4HANA logistics modules (EWM, TMS).
* Interest in data analytics and reporting tools (e.g., SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI).
Skills:
* Deep understanding of global trade regulations, customs procedures and the functionalities of SAP GTS to digitalize customs and foreign trade processes.
* Team player with project management experience.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a cross-functional environment.
* Good command of English.
