Job Information Position Type: Day Care Program / Site SupervisorPosted: 12/31/2025Location: Mackensen Hourly Wage: $13.73Hours per week: 25-30 Purpose of the Position To assist the District Early Childhood Facilitator in establishing and monitoring curriculum, operating children, and staffing the School‑Age Program. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Administer the Standards of Quality for child care programs. Supervise personnel. Assist in the development of curriculum. Develop and carry out weekly lesson plans including art, manipulatives, games, building, imaginative play, large motor, sensory, and reading. Implement the Program Guide, Health Policy and Procedures, and Staff Handbook. Implement Child Care Licensing rules and regulations. Assist in compiling, submitting, and reviewing written reports as required for the programs. Maintain current records on family billing cards, receive payments, provide receipts, and make deposits as needed. Maintain family e‑mails and phone numbers for communication. Assist in record keeping for the programs. Create weekly children’s numbers with schedules provided by parents. Keep accurate daily numbers and record on family billing cards. Record DHHS hours and bill accordingly. Engage in activities with children indoors and outdoors. Teach and model respect to children and staff. Assist in other areas of need as directed by supervisors. Dimensions of Position Assist in the supervision of children and personnel for the Before and After School Programs, administer curriculum, counsel children, parents, and staff, and plan and supervise all aspects of the program as assigned. Qualifications Requirements Minimum Education Requirements: Meet the minimum requirements as stated by the State of Michigan Department of Human Services Office of Children and Adult Licensing, Licensing Rules for Child Care Centers for a Program Director. Minimum General Requirements: Background knowledge of the State of Michigan Department of Human Services Office of Children and Adult Licensing, Licensing Rules for Child Care Centers. Must have the physical stamina to work long and flexible hours. Demonstrate ability to organize and operate programs. Demonstrate the ability to communicate verbally and in written form with school administrators, staff, parents, and children. Current Adult and Pediatric CPR, AED, and First Aid. Other Skills and Abilities Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory; establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, peers, parents, and community; skill in oral and written communication; perform duties with awareness of district requirements, Board of Education policies, and applicable State and Federal laws.
