Our Assistant Housekeeping Manager is responsible to assist the Director of Housekeeping in directing and coordinating overall activities of the department to achieve maximum efficiency and productivity as required by the hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee department operations in the absence of the Director of Housekeeping.
* Train and supervise Room attendants to ensure all guest rooms, suites, and public areas meet cleanliness and quality standards.
* Implement daily inspection programs to verify the cleanliness, maintenance, and proper stocking of guest rooms, heart of house areas, and public spaces.
* Conduct training sessions for housekeeping staff as needed.
* Perform regular quality control inspections to maintain department standards.
* Attend required training sessions and meetings.
* Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests with professionalism.
* Foster positive guest relations and resolve complaints promptly, ensuring guest satisfaction.
* To coordinate with the Supervisor Linen & Uniform, Supervisor Laundry the efficient operation of the laundry.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Minimum two years’ experience in a similar capacity for a luxury or ultra-luxury hospitality is preferred.
* Fluency in German or English is preferred; proficiency in additional languages is a strong advantage.
* Proven experience in leading and managing a team effectively.
* Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up abilities.
