What we are looking for:

To help us on our mission, we are looking for a talented and highly ambitious System Security Administrator to join our IT Team. As a System Security Administrator, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our organization's information systems and data assets by implementing, managing, and monitoring security measures. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

1. Security Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and maintain security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, encryption mechanisms, and authentication protocols to protect against unauthorized access and threats.
2. Access Control: Manage user access and permissions across various systems, applications, and network resources. Regularly review and update access rights based on role changes and business requirements.
3. Vulnerability Management: Identify, assess, and remediate vulnerabilities in software, hardware, and network configurations. Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively mitigate potential risks.
4. Incident Response: Develop and maintain an incident response plan. Investigate and respond to security incidents, breaches, and vulnerabilities in a timely and effective manner. Implement corrective actions and ensure lessons learned are integrated into security processes.
5. Auditing and Compliance: Monitor and enforce compliance with relevant security standards, regulations, and best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR). Conduct regular audits, analyze security controls, and report findings to management.
6. Security Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of security policies, procedures, and configurations. Ensure that documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
7. Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams on security-related matters. Collaborate with IT teams to implement security measures during system upgrades, patches, and changes.
8. Emerging Threat Analysis: Stay current with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and vulnerabilities. Continuously evaluate and recommend security enhancements to keep pace with evolving risks.
9. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to integrate security practices into the organization's overall operations and strategic initiatives.

Basic Qualifications:

10. Very strong ability to listen attentively, apply logic and reason, follow- through, can-do attitude, and exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
11. Proven experience as a System Security Administrator or similar role.
12. Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, encryption, and authentication mechanisms.
13. Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST) and their practical application.
14. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and make sound security decisions.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

15. Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) are a plus.
16. Experience with security tools and technologies, vulnerability assessment tools, and security information and event management (SIEM) systems is advantageous.
17. Confident personality with good technical comprehension and a passion for learning and growth
