Your Future Role
2,100 colleagues from 46 countries, including 800 engineers, shape in Hennigsdorf the future of rail mobility. The locally developed, manufactured, and maintained product range includes high-speed, regional, and local trains, subways, as well as trams and light rail vehicles. Our corporate functions play a key role in supporting and continuously improving the performance of our sites. You’ll report to Tina Roman and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.
We’ll look for you to :
* Analyse tender documentation to understand schedule management requirements, including schedule structure, reporting constraints, and contractual requirements.
* Set a timeline for tender preparation and ensure its adherence until the tender submission.
* Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to integrate inputs and define project schedule interfaces.
* Contribute to formulating the project execution strategy.
* Develop the tender schedule based on contract requirements, subsystem commitments, gap analysis, and the tender execution strategy.
* Identify the project schedule's critical path and risks, suggesting optimization and mitigation actions.
* Highlight differences between the intial assumptions and the final tender schedule.
* Draft the tender schedule narrative.
* Ensure on-time delivery of schedule-related deliverables.
* Present scheduling information during tender gate reviews.
* Develop quality schedules in accordance with the company's procedures, contractual requirements, and stakeholder inputs.
* Optimize schedules considering multiple criteria such as on-time delivery, cash generation, penalty avoidance, and efficient utilization of available resources.
* Ensure validation the baseline schedule.
* Develop a Project Time Management Plan.
* Organize and lead regular project schedule review sessions, challenging stakeholders' assumptions about time performance.
* Align the commitments of internal and external stakeholders, manage schedule interfaces, and proactively address inconsistencies.
* Ensure on-time updates of both internal and external schedules, monitoring stakeholders' adherence to schedule quality standards.
* Identify critical paths and both actual and potential delays in complex, interlinked schedules.
* Guide the project team in identifying and mitigating risks and in seizing opportunities related to on-time delivery.
* Lead the preparation of schedule and progress reports, illustrating progress with relevant KPIs and the Earned Value Methodology.
* Support the Contract Manager in protecting the company's rights in time-related disputes and perform delay delay analysis
* Provide support to teams on schedule-related issues.
* Mentor and support other planners.
All About You:

* Engineering or Business degree
* Minimum of 5 year's experience in full time planning and scheduling role
* Industrial or construction background
* Detailed knowledge of scheduling theory and methods, such as EVM.
* Proficiency in one scheduling tool (OdyC, Primavera, etc.) and familiarity with an additional scheduling software tool (Kinaxis, MS Project, TILOS).
* Advanced skills in MS Excel or other data analysis tools
* Knowledge of time-related contractual obligations and principles of delay analysis.
* Basic comprehension of railway industry products and technologies.
* Curiosity, the drive to learn, and the readiness to share knowledge with others.
* Good written and verbal communication skills; a effective team player.
* Ability to challenge and guide teams and be proactive in proposing solutions.
* Adaptability in a multi-cultural and rapidly changing environment.
