We’re looking for a Mixed-Signal IC Verification Engineer who lives at the intersection of classic analog insight and modern verification scale. In this role, you’ll be involved at all stages of development of high-performance automotive analog/mixed-signal ICs, combining pre-silicon simulation in a state-of-the-art mixed-signal DV environment with bench verification of precision ADCs and other mixed-signal circuits. You’ll be part of a team that has rich expertise in UVM, DMS and AMS simulation, but also knows their way around source meters, oscilloscopes and soldering irons.
This is a versatile role! If you enjoy developing elaborate verification for automotive mixed-signal ICs to ensure a successful tapeout, appreciate running those testcases on the bench to look for microvolts of offset or ppm-level gain errors across temperature, and then also believe that all of this should be heavily scripted and automated – this is the perfect role for you.
1. A solid, basic understanding of mixed-signal circuits such as analog-to-digital converters, references, oscillators and power converters
2. Proficiency with mixed-signal circuit simulations and mixed-signal verification tools such as Verilog-AMS, SystemVerilog RNM modeling, DMS simulations, ideally using the Cadence toolchain
3. Experience with defining test plans, relevant checkers, and coverage metrics from circuit block to system
4. Experience with bench verification of mixed-signal ICs and circuits including ADCs, references, power converters and others
5. Experience with lab automation, instrument control, measurement data collection
6. Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python, ideally combined with an interest to use AI tools to work more effectively.
7. Familiarity with functional safety (ISO26262) and how it applies to verification and validation, or an interest to learn more about this.
