Overview
We have partnered with a fast-growing German SaaS scale-up where their platform uses AI-driven data modelling to create detailed digital representations of products and supply chains. This allows engineering and procurement teams to assess environmental impact, cost structures, and risk factors far more efficiently than traditional methods.
The business is now entering a significant growth and transition phase. Engineering teams are scaling, processes are evolving, and there is a level of ambiguity as the company matures. This role suits someone comfortable operating in that environment rather than expecting everything to be fully structured.
The Role
You'll be working across the full stack on a platform that deals with complex, real-world data at scale. The work isn't siloed engineers are expected to get involved where needed and take ownership.
Day to day, that looks like:
* Building out backend services and improving how data is processed and structured
* Developing clean, usable front-end features that make complex data easier to work with
* Getting involved in how things are deployed, run, and improved over time
* Working closely with product and other engineers to shape solutions rather than just delivering tickets
* Helping bring more structure and consistency to engineering as the company scales
Requirements:
* Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot in production environments
* Solid front-end experience with Angular
* Experience working with AWS (EC2-based environments)
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred)
* Comfortable in scale-up environments with changing processes
* Able to operate with a degree of autonomy and handle uncertainty
What to Expect
* A business scaling quickly and still defining its internal processes
* Engineering challenges tied to complex data modelling and performance
* A level of ambiguity this isn't a fully polished corporate environment
* Opportunity to have a real impact on how systems and teams evolve
