Duties Description Under the direction of park management, this Park Worker 3 would oversee the Bethpage State Park business office, which manages payroll, purchasing and revenue.
Duties Include the following:
• Prepares and submits hiring packets to the regional office.
• Completes and submits employee rollovers to the regional office.
• Enters seasonal employees’ hours into the HRIS System.
• Prepares and submits over time reports for both seasonal and annual employees’ hours to park management.
• Ensures time entered in LATS is correct for employees for supervisorial approval.
• Reconciles purchases daily in SFS. Ensures all documentation is submitted to Babylon Headquarters in the established timeframe. If needed, reach out to vendors to obtain correct paperwork. Maintain paper and/or electronic files of purchasing paperwork.
• Assists in executing procurement and reconciliation with service contract vendors (Elevator, fire suppression, HVAC,
• Assist revenue personnel when necessary to ensure all revenue is submitted into the Revenue and Attendance Systems.
• Send out charge authorization packets to various schools and maintain billing for authorized schools.
• Other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications One year of experience in the operation and/or maintenance of a park, historic site, golf course, or recreational facility;
OR - One year of experience in any of the following fields:
•Law enforcement or security
•Firefighting
•Emergency Medical Services
•Environmental education or stewardship
•Natural resources management (., forest management, wildlife management/preservation)
•Historic preservation or interpretation
•Landscaping or grounds maintenance
OR - One year of military service in any branch of the United States Armed Forces;
OR - Thirty (30) semester credit hours of college-level coursework from an accredited college or university*;
OR - Completion of a two-year technical/trades school program;
OR - Two years of experience as a trade assistant working under the direct supervision of a skilled tradesperson.
