Our team at the BMW Group is dedicated to advancing vehicle path prediction for next-generation driving assistance systems. We focus on leveraging AI and diverse sensor data to enhance safety and driving comfort. As a working student, you will support us in exploring innovative AI-based solutions for vehicle trajectory forecasting.
What awaits you?
1. You will support extracting and preprocessing training data from existing vehicle trace datasets.
2. Furthermore, you help utilize the current rule-based path prediction system as a reference for model training and evaluation.
3. In addition, you contribute to designing and implementing AI models tailored for vehicle path prediction.
4. Moreover, you will assist in training models on prepared datasets and evaluating their performance using appropriate metrics.
5. You also help analyze results with the team and suggest improvements.
What should you bring along?
6. Studies in computer science, engineering, data science or a related field.
7. Solid foundation in artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts.
8. Proficiency in Python programming and experience with AI/ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch or scikit-learn.
9. Experience with data engineering tasks including data cleaning, transformation and dataset generation.
10. Basic understanding of vehicle dynamics, sensor data and map data is a plus.
11. Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
12. Good English skills; German is a plus.
