Main tasks and responsibilities
* Develop proprietary networks with other market participants (Advisors, Financial Sponsors, Corporates) to maximise origination efforts.
* Focus on the execution and monitoring of investments while building solid relationships with shareholders and management teams.
* Lead the performance of due diligence, credit analysis and financial analysis.
* Lead the preparation of investment recommendations and recommendations for the firm’s Executive Committee.
* Lead the negotiations of transactional legal documentation.
* Support juniors and mentor them over their career progression.
* Manage internal resource allocation in line with pipeline evolution. Participate in portfolio companies board discussions.
* Participate in cross‑company initiatives and ensure a unique culture.
* Support the Portfolio and Finance teams across different work streams.
* Maintain appropriate deal databases and document filing systems and ensure compliance with record retention procedures.
Requirements
* +7 years of relevant financial experience in private debt, special situations, private equity, or restructuring services.
* Excellent relationship skills.
* Ability to discuss investment recommendations supported by detailed, thorough analysis and clear communication.
* Experience managing difficult discussions with counter parties while aiming for a consensual outcome.
* Ability to identify and proactively engage in unforeseen investment situations with a focus on capital preservation.
* Solid quantitative, financial, and analytical skills and advanced MS Excel and modeling skills.
