KG Organization SE CFO Business Unit Taxes & Customs Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your Day As Head of Project Business Tax Governance, you lead the global tax governance and risk framework for Siemens Energy’s international Project Business, including all aspects related to Permanent Establishments (PEs). You ensure regulatory excellence, operational efficiency, and digital innovation across the entire tax lifecycle of international projects.You define and manage global tax guidelines, rules, and processes, oversee the establishment, administration, and closure of PEs, and ensure full compliance with internal and local requirements. As the key expert for the global PE Manager Community, you provide guidance, training, and support throughout all PE-related steps.You continuously improve and digitalize tax policies, workflows, tools, and AI applications, while driving process optimization across the organization. You also manage tax audits and appeal cases.In this highly international role, you act as a strategic partner to global stakeholders across Tax, HR, Legal, Treasury, Accounting, IT, and regional teams, ensuring effective alignment and governance worldwide.How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Shape and oversee Siemens Energy’s international project business tax governance in alignment with the global tax strategy, with a strong focus on Permanent Establishment (PE) governance and risk management.
2. Act as a strategic advisor, identifying and mitigating tax risks in complex cross-border project environments through clear frameworks, controls, and process oversight.
3. Build strong partnerships across Business Areas, corporate functions, regional organizations, and external advisors to ensure tax-compliant international operations.
4. Drive the effective use of project-related tax consulting tools to ensure proper tax advisory is embedded in all cross-border activities.
5. Contribute to SAP S/4 transformation and digitalization initiatives by aligning system requirements and advancing innovative tax technologies.
6. Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering continuous improvement, best-practice sharing, training, and a collaborative, forward-thinking tax environment.
What You Bring
7. Outstanding academic background in Taxation, Law, Finance, or a related field; German Tax Advisor exam is a strong advantage. Extensive expertise in international tax law, including direct taxes (PE topics), indirect taxes, transfer pricing, and personal taxes.
8. Proven mastery of Permanent Establishment (PE) topics, including PE profit determination, ERP implementation, and governance of project-business tax processes across multiple jurisdictions.
9. Extensive experience in global tax risk management, including Tax CMS, tax controversy, internal policies, control frameworks, escalation handling, and change management.
10. Successful track record in managing complex tax matters in large international project environments, including independent negotiation of tax audits and appeal proceedings up to ministerial level.
11. Demonstrated leadership and transformation experience, including building and developing global tax department structures, driving digitalization, and contributing to legislative tax policy statements.
12. High digital and system competence, including SAP, Project Tax consulting tools, modern tax technologies; strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills; fluent in English and German.
