We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Embedded Software Architect to join our Embedded Software (ESW) development team.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and guiding the development of embedded software systems and platforms, focusing on functional safety features, advanced machine control, IoT data collection, and M2M interfaces. As an Embedded Software Architect, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our products meet high standards of quality, safety, cyber security, and performance.
This position is hybrid remote and based in Wetter, Germany. The role requires some business travel.
Your key responsibilities
* Design and architect embedded software systems and platforms with a focus on functional safety, machine control, M2M communication, IoT features, and overall software architecture.
* Develop software architecture and design documentation, including high-level design, detailed design, and interface specifications.
* Collaborate with hardware, software, and system engineers to define requirements, interfaces, and integration strategies for embedded software platforms
* Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards (e.g., ISO 13849, IEC 61508) and enable the implementation of safety-critical software features.
* Lead technical discussions and reviews to mentor and guide the team in implementing robust, efficient, and maintainable software solutions.
* Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to embedded systems, fieldbuses, IoT, and software platform development.
* Coordinate with product management, QA, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and product launches.
