Your role
As a trainee Irish Translator you will:
1. translate (non-legal) texts from English into Irish;
2. revise and proofread texts in Irish;
3. help to identify, extract and compile terminology, particularly in the fields of economics and finance;
4. contribute to the Irish team’s other responsibilities, such as maintaining translation memories and providing linguistic advice.

Qualifications, experience and skills
Essential:
5. a bachelor’s degree or higher in modern languages or translation;
6. a mastery-level (C2) command of Irish and an advanced (C1) command of English, according to the .
Desired:
7. a master’s degree (completed or in the final stages of completion) in modern languages or translation;
8. familiarity with computer-assisted translation tools;
9. experience of translating English texts into Irish;
10. an intermediate (B1) command of another official EU language;
11. an interest in financial and economic affairs.
