Deciphera, a member of ONO, is searching for a highly motivated, insightful, and resourceful individual to join the DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) Medical Affairs team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a passionate, high profile, high-impact Medical Affairs team, and work in a highly dynamic and collaborative setting.
We are seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) who will have overall responsibility for leading, managing, and supporting ripretinib and the pre-launch/launch phase of vimseltinib in Germany, reporting to the Medical Lead DACH.
The MSL provides national vision and direction for the medical strategy, ensuring all activities comply with Deciphera’s policies and SOPs. She/he will be accountable for the optimal allocation and management of Medical Affairs resources for the relevant products. The role involves implementing a targeted medical strategy for her/his territory, focusing on operational tasks, and aligning with business objectives. The candidate should have significant experience in building strong MSL relationships with the external scientific and medical community.
The MSL acts as a key liaison between the organization and healthcare professionals, contributing to the medical affairs strategy. Responsibilities include developing and nurturing relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals, providing scientific insights, conducting compliant field interactions, and communicating medical insights to cross-functional teams, including market access and commercial colleagues.

This position is remote, with significant travel expectations. Residence in Nordrhein-Westfalen is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and actively track insights within a dedicated area, including operations in western Germany.
2. Build enduring relationships with HCPs, patient advocacy groups, professional societies, and institutions, fostering cross-functional partnerships.
3. Collaborate with external vendors and medical agencies for tactics like advisory boards and medical education activities.
4. Assist in developing/editing medical communications, including briefing documents, FAQs, etc.
5. Ensure inclusion of key data and scientifically supported statements in publications and presentations, maintaining accuracy and balance.
6. Participate in cross-functional teams and represent the DACH Medical Affairs team, including delivering presentations.
7. Support internal training of customer-facing colleagues to enhance their understanding of clinical data and medicines.

Qualifications:
* Scientific or Medical Degree (Pharm D, PhD, MD) required
* Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, preferably in Oncology
* Experience in interpreting scientific data, market research, and developing medical strategies; proficiency with Veeva, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
* Strategic leadership, collaboration, negotiation skills
* Knowledge of local pharmaceutical regulations and SOPs
* Ability to develop and implement strategic plans
* Excellent communication skills
* Flexibility, positive attitude, multitasking ability
* Willingness to travel approximately 50%
