Senior Embedded Engineer – Control Systems & Software Development (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities – Depending on Your Focus:
Embedded Software Engineering
* Develop algorithms and workflows in C++
* Program low-level software in close collaboration with adjacent departments
* Create and expand component and module tests
* Participate in code reviews and continuously improve development processes
* Monitor and analyze software quality and initiate measures to ensure it
Embedded Firmware / Control Systems
* Design and develop control systems for medical devices (e.g., drives, ovens, instrument control)
* Select and implement suitable control strategies for various physical systems
* Harmonize control concepts across product lines to improve efficiency and reusability
* Apply model-based development approaches (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink)
* Collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate and validate control systems
Your Profile:
* Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related technical field
* Several years of experience developing embedded systems, ideally in the medical technology sector
* Strong knowledge of C++ and/or digital control engineering
* Experience with Embedded Linux, MATLAB/Simulink, and model-based development is a plus
* Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and their use in safety-critical systems
* Enjoy working in agile teams and tackling complex technical challenges
* Excellent communication skills in German and English, both written and spoken
