Internship Engineering of Large Capital Projects (m/f/d)

The Service Unit Global Engineering Services crafts and engineers a sustainable future with world class technical expertise. Our interdisciplinary, global, committed teams serve the BASF businesses to grow with our customers, products and markets. We plan large-scale plants for our divisions and are looking for an intern for four to nine months at August 2026 to optimize and digitize our planning processes. The focus of this internship is on project, piping and mechanical engineering, but we work in an interdisciplinary way, especially in the context of digitalization.
For this purpose, you will work together with different engineering departments and gain an insight into all disciplines of plant design.
Support of a lead engineer and collaboration in the implementation of large-scale projects.
Writing scripts (Python) as part of a cross-divisional digitization project.
currently student of engineering with a specialization in process engineering, mechanical engineering, environmental engineering, chemical engineering or similar
secure communication in German and English
depending on the desired activity, basic knowledge of programming (ideally Python) is necessary or advantageous
Letter of motivation with details of the period and duration, curriculum vitae as well as all relevant certificates and references in the original language and, in the case of a compulsory internship, the internship regulations of the (technical) university
Practical phase - actively apply theory in challenging and varied tasks/projects
