We’re Hiring: Category Development & Marketing Manager (m/f/d)
Join our team to play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and overall performance of our Biscoff & Natural Foods business and the categories we are operating in. In this role you will lead a three-person team being part of the leadership team, reporting directly to the Country Manager Germany.
Your Mission
1. Shape long-term brand strategies, optimize the portfolio & pricing architecture, and lead key growth initiatives like the Perfect Store concept.
2. Ensure a strong market positioning, building best-in-class customer partnerships for category management and driving business success.
3. Be a key driver in building a strong local team by focusing on continuous development and team building.
Category Strategy & Growth
4. Develop and execute a long-term category strategy to drive sustainable revenue and market share for Biscuits & Natural Foods categories
5. Lead growth initiatives, optimizing assortment, pricing architecture, instore presence and promotional strategies
6. Identify market trends and shopper insights to shape winning business strategies
Brand Development & Performance
7. Craft long-term brand strategies and growth plans for Biscoff & NF brands
8. Ensure excellent execution of the annual brand plan across touchpoints with the team
9. Monitor market & brand performance, identifying risks & opportunities
10. Drive data-informed decision-making in collaboration with cross-functional teams
Customer & Channel Excellence
11. Act as the key point of contact for sales, ensuring alignment between strategy and customer execution
12. Build and strengthen strategic relationships with key retailers to drive mutual growth
13. Develop compelling sell-in stories, ensuring maximum impact with retail partners
Budget & Resource Optimization
14. Oversee budget allocation, ensuring maximum impact & ROI and prioritize high-performance marketing & trade activities
Leadership & Collaboration
15. Lead, inspire & grow a high-performing team (3 direct reports)
16. Collaborate closely with local cross-functional teams, global teams, and central functions
17. Academic Excellence: A master’s degree in economics, marketing, communications or equivalent
18. Proven Expertise:
19. Commercial Strategist: Profound conceptual and analytical skills to identify and lift the right potentials with a clear measurement of the success for the overall business
20. Consumer Insights: Comprehensive knowledge of relevant panel data (e.g., GfK, Circana, YouGov), including the ability to analyze and strategically leverage this data and convert into compelling storylines
21. Operational excellence: Proven track record in strategic planning, market analysis & brand growth
22. Project Management: Ability to navigate cross-functional & international collaboration
23. Leadership Mind-set: Leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop & inspire teams
24. Language Skills: Fluency in German (full professional proficiency) and a strong command of English (written and spoken).
