Senior Global Tax Manager
Location: Germany
Length of contract: 6 months
Your Responsibilities
As Senior Global Tax Manager, you will:
* Support the Group Head of Tax on direct tax matters, with a strong focus on international tax and M&A.
* Help optimize and implement the Group’s global tax strategy in collaboration with international colleagues.
* Serve as a trusted business partner to global functions and group companies on all tax-related matters.
* Lead and support strategic tax projects—such as restructuring, entering new markets, or rolling out new business models.
* Design comprehensive tax solutions for M&A activities, including due diligence, SPA negotiations, and post-deal integration.
* Ensure tax compliance and continuously improve our global Tax Compliance Management System, policies, and internal controls.
* Act as a key liaison with external tax advisors worldwide and collaborate on tax filings and return preparation.
* Provide support for tax audits in Germany and internationally, including APAs and mutual agreement procedures.
Your Profile
We’re looking for someone who brings:
* A degree in Economics, Finance, Tax, or a related field (e.g., LL.M. in Taxation or similar).
* A successfully completed German Tax Advisor Exam (Steuerberaterexamen) is a strong plus.
* A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the tax department of a multinational company or a global tax advisory firm.
* A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and the ability to take initiative.
* Strong project management skills and an enthusiasm for learning and adapting in a fast-paced environment.
* A collaborative spirit and the confidence to act as a business partner on new and existing projects.
* Fluency in both German and English.
