We are a translational research group at the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (HZI) in Braunschweig, in cooperation with Hannover Medical School (MHH), as part of the RESIST Cluster of Excellence.

A full-time position (38.5 hours per week), initially fixed-term until December 31, 2028, with the possibility of extension, at one of the largest employers in Lower Saxony.
Depending on your qualifications, remuneration up to pay grade E13 according to the German public-sector collective agreement (TV-L), including public-sector benefits such as occupational pension schemes and supplementary insurance through VBL.

Master's degree or PhD in Biostatistics, Data Science, Machine Learning, Bioinformatics, or a related field. Experience with genomic data (e.g., Strong expertise in exploratory data analysis (EDA) and machine learning. Python, R) and experience working in Linux and high-performance computing (HPC) environments. Knowledge of multi-omics data integration. Excellent written and spoken English. Interest in translational and international research. Experience in advising innovation and technology-transfer projects, including grant proposal development.
